Love them or hate them, but Birkenstocks by the German company founded in 1774 and introduced to the US in the 1960s are in again. Despite making New York Magazine’s list of Ugly shoes, which has not hurt Crocs or Uggs either, the classic German comfortable shoe is in again and even The New York Times writes about it.
