Fashion – A New Hot Address in Vienna

A new shop selling Austrian designer fashion has opened in the MuseumsQuartier, Vienna’s leading cultural complex.
The styleaut.shop is located in the MuseumsQuartier, one of the world’s top ten cultural complexes. The area is a favorite meeting place packed with excellent restaurants and cultural attractions. Small but beautiful” has been the watchword at this new flagship store for Austrian designer fashion since it opened in October 2009. Selected collections by Austrian designers are on sale in this boutique in the baroque former imperial stables. The stock rotates every two months to ensure a broad spectrum of fashion items. Initial contributors include Maria Oberfrank with clothing for flaneurs courtesy of the Pitour label, fashion graduate from the University of Applied Arts Julia Cepp with her label mija t. rosa and finally Katha Harrer with her nonconformist designs available under the km/a name.
The new shop was in fact preceded by an online store. A year ago style.aut.com launched a platform for Austrian fashion designers to present and sell their creations online. The site currently showcases pieces by around 50 designers, many of whom are from the seventh district, a creative hub with the MuseumsQuartier at its center. The success of the online store encouraged the operators to open a good old fashioned shop.
