GW in the famous beer boot
A huge and happy crowd of more than 1,700 people came together on October 10 at the LA Mart in Downtown for the sold-out LA Oktoberfest. Everybody got an original PAULANER beer mug, enjoyed free beer, and the popular Jägermeister as well as original Bavarian pretzels flown in from Munich by BC International.
A special attraction was the 3-liter BEER BOOTS – originally made out of glass, they were here on sale in their patio-friendly Americanized plastic version. Everyone who bought a beer boot, got a free copy of German World Magazine. If you missed it you can still order yours at : http://www.us-oktoberfest.com
The only downside to the LA Oktoberfest that was organized for the first time in Downtown LA and had been initiated and executed by the agency “Barcelona”, was the absence of a huge tent, the early closing time at 6 PM, and the super long lines at check-in produced by virtually non-existent crowd management. All things that we hope will be fixed next year because we are looking forward to LA Oktoberfest 2010!
