DC: Theater and Conversation – An Evening of Kafka

kafkaAlliance for New Music-Theatre in partnership with The President Woodrow Wilson House continues its year-long inaugural series of lively cultural evenings with a performance of Franz Kafka’s riveting short story A Report to an Academy, exploring the struggle to be human in a broken, oppressive society.

In this solo theater piece, Drew Valins embodies Kafka’s half-ape RotPeter, telling his story of how he joined the human community after being captured and caged.

Following the performance, join us in a discussion with the cast to further explore themes that still resonate widely in our culture.

Date and time: 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Jan. 18

Location: President Woodrow Wilson House, 2340 S Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20008
