Until August 27: Gustav Klimt Exhibition in New York

Gustav Klimt
From May 24 to August 27,  Neue Galerie in New York, whose collection of paintings and drawings by Gustav Klimt is considered by many to be the best in the country, will honor the 150th anniversary of his birth with an exhibition of his work.

On view will be greatest hits from the collection, like the gold-flecked 1907 portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer that the museum’s co-founder Ronald S. Lauder bought for $135 million in 2006. This exhibition will offer something new: photographs of Klimt and his studio that have never been exhibited before.
