Why white asparagus and where does it come from? In Germany, the white asparagus season, lasting from mid-April to late June, is celebrated with much enthusiasm. During the season, the vegetable also referred to as “edible ivory” is prominently featured on menus everywhere. In order to bring this tradition a little closer to you, the GACC in SF will import fresh white asparagus from Germany.
